Art

Sometimes I dabble in non-science things.

About Me (a non technical intro.)

Once upon a time, I thought pursuing science was mutually exclusive to exercising the artistic half of my brain. For me, art is a form of self expression, an outlet for how I feel. Feeling (supposedly) has no place in STEM and academia. So out of embarrassment and self consciousness, I rarely mention my artistic endeavors. Will people still take me seriously as a scientist if I shared my art? How will I feel if people were critical of my self expression?
Maybe other scientists won't take me seriously. Maybe it won't feel great to bare some of my feelings to the world outside of my four walls. But, I am not defined by my career. Science and art are not mutually exclusive. So we'll see where this goes. For now, enjoy!
